Are you willing to provide any of these services such as: Home visits, Shopping, Errands, Writing letters, Reassurance through phone contact, Minor home repairs, Assistance with daily living skills, Newspaper on Tape, Reading, Yard Work? Established in March 1996, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers of Portage County is a faith-centered organization working to maintain the dignity and enhance the quality of life for older adults, disabled individuals, and families in Portage County. Interfaith trains volunteers to provide supportive services to Portage County residents.

Working with area congregations, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers recruits, trains, organizes, and matches volunteers with people who need help.

Reflecting God's care and concern to the people they serve, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers provide friendship and support to all of God's people.

- Friendly visiting
- Respite for the caregiver
- Secondary transportation
- Household chores
- Grocery shopping
- Errand running
- Stevens Point journal on audio tape
- Telephone reassurance
- Assistance with letter writing
- Information and referral

- People without family in the area
- People new to the community
- Families, friends and neighbors
- People in need of a caregiver
- Long distance caregivers
- Congregations, community groups and organizations
